Parents & Friends Association

Would you like to become more involved in our wonderful school community?

The Parents and Friends Association (P&F) is a dynamic part of St Virgil’s College with two engaged and active committees across the Junior and Senior campuses. The main focus of the P&F is to connect the College community by providing enjoyable events and social forums to bring students, staff, parents, friends and families together.

Throughout the school year the committees host various events including the P&F College Quiz Night, Easter Raffle, Mothers’ Day Breakfast, Mary Rice Day Lunch, Teachers’ Dinners, Online Auction, Fathers’ Day Breakfast/Gift Stall, Choomalaka Festival & Feast and Christmas Raffles.

These events generate important funds that continue to support students and project initiatives (including facilities and equipment) across the junior and senior campuses.

Each year the P&F donate 10% of the proceeds raised from the Easter and Christmas Raffles to Caritas.

As the College expands from Kindergarten to Year 12, the number of P&F committee members and volunteers needs to increase to continue the important and wonderful work they achieve each year. The P&F is a fantastic forum for meeting parents and friends, learning about the College, and engaging with staff and students.

New and existing College parents, carers and friends are warmly welcome to:

  • Assist with volunteering
  • Attend P&F meetings
  • Join the committees

All levels of support, great or small, are greatly appreciated!

Volunteers

Volunteers are the ‘champions’ of the St Virgil’s College community. Without their ongoing support, the Parents and Friends Association could not do the work they do. The remarkable generosity and support the College receives from parents, grandparents, families and friends, enables the P&F to host fun social events and fundraising initiatives that ultimately supports the students and the College.

To register your interest as a volunteer, please email parentsandfriends@stvirgils.tas.edu.au
